Zholdasbek Madibek, a student of the RPZS-22-3 group at the School of Construction of the International Educational Corporation (KazGASA), became the winner of the republican Amanat Ideathon 2026 competition with his innovative educational project Qozy.

Qozy is a mobile application for learning English, primarily developed for a Kazakh-speaking audience. The project aims to create a modern, convenient, and accessible format for learning foreign languages using digital technologies and interactive educational tools.

The application features vocabulary learning, watching TV series with dual subtitles, gamified learning elements, more than 200 ready-made video lessons, and an integrated library with instant translation of unfamiliar words into the Kazakh language.

The Amanat Ideathon 2026 republican competition brought together more than 250 participants and 106 projects from different regions of Kazakhstan. Following the competition results, the Qozy project was recognized as the best among the presented initiatives.

To win the competition, Zholdasbek Madibek received the grand cash prize of 1,000,000 tenge, which will be used for the further development and scaling of the project.

The startup’s growth dynamics are especially noteworthy. After the first release, the application was downloaded by more than 40,000 users, confirming strong audience interest and the high demand for the product. Currently, the team is working on a new version of the platform with an updated architecture aimed at improving performance and enabling further scaling.

The team’s plans include expanding language support, reaching 100,000 users, and entering the international market.

An important aspect of the project is its social mission. The developers are considering providing free access to premium subscriptions for people with disabilities, emphasizing that quality education and language learning should be accessible to everyone.
