On April 15, 2026, the International Education Corporation (KazGASA) hosted a large-scale alumni reunion, bringing together representatives of different generations – from graduates of KazPTI and AASI to recent KazGASA alumni. The event was held as part of the university’s 45th anniversary celebrations and became a significant occasion for the professional community.
More than 400 alumni from various regions of Kazakhstan and abroad participated in the event. The reunion served as a platform for consolidating the professional community, and a decision was made to hold such gatherings on an annual basis.
Today, KazGASA unites over 36,000 alumni working in the architecture, construction, and related industries. The revival of the KazGASA Alumni Association is aimed at strengthening professional connections, developing partnerships, and building a unified community.
A welcoming speech was delivered by Aigazy Kussainov, Chairman of the IEC Supervisory Board, who emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between alumni, the academy, and the professional community.
The program included official, presentation, and cultural segments. Guests were presented with the documentary film “KazGASA: 45 Years in Frame,” highlighting key milestones in the university’s development.
Special attention was given to the future of the academy. Rector of IEC, Bakhtiyar Sabdenaliyev, presented the strategic development directions and announced the launch of a digital platform for alumni aimed at enhancing professional interaction.
As part of the event, new initiatives and infrastructure projects were introduced. The Alumni Alley was officially opened, and a small architectural form titled “Construction Science,” gifted by alumnus Bissembayev E.T., was presented. In addition, an аудитория named after Bekrimzhan Glaudinov – professor of AASI-KazGASA and author of the “Arch of Knowledge” located in front of the academy – was inaugurated. Guided tours of academic schools and facilities were organized for the guests.
The cultural program featured performances by students. A special highlight was the performance by Nurlan Abdullin, who performed for his alma mater.
The evening concluded with the performance of the KazGASA anthem and a festive anniversary fireworks display.
The alumni reunion became an important step in strengthening intergenerational ties, developing the professional community, and enhancing cooperation between the university, its alumni, and the industry.
