The IEC hosted a meeting of the EMA REMC of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan in the fields of Architecture, Construction, and Design

 

On April 15, 2026, the International Education Corporation (KazGASA) hosted an extended meeting of the Educational and Methodological Association (EMA) of the Republican Educational and Methodological Council (REMC) of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the fields of “Architecture and Construction” and “Arts” (Fashion, Design). The event was held in a hybrid format (online and offline) with the participation of representatives from 38 out of 44 member universities, as well as industry organizations and the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs.

The main topic of the meeting focused on the digitalization of education and the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into the training of specialists in the architecture, construction, and design sectors.

The meeting was opened by Bakhtiyar Sabdenaliyev, Rector of IEC and Chairman of the EMA. Presentations were delivered by representatives of the International Education Corporation (KazGASA), member universities of the EMA, as well as representatives of industry and the professional community.

Particular attention was given to the integration of digital technologies into educational programs, the use of BIM and artificial intelligence in the training of architects, designers, and civil engineers, the development of industry-academic collaboration, and modern requirements for training specialists in the architecture, construction, and design sectors.

The meeting included sectional discussions in the areas of “Architecture and Design,” “Construction,” and “Geodesy and Cartography, Land Management and Cadastre.” Participants discussed the improvement of educational programs, exchanged practical experience, and reviewed educational and methodological publications submitted for EMA approval.

The meeting concluded with the announcement of the results of the Republican online competition of the best graduation projects for the 2024–2025 academic year.

Hosting the EMA meeting at IEC (KazGASA) reaffirmed the academy’s status as a leading platform for developing modern approaches to training specialists in architecture, construction, and creative industries, as well as strengthening the interaction between education, science, and the professional community.
