A delegation from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), comprising two professors and 28 students, has arrived at the International Educational Corporation (KazGASA).

The visit is organized as part of an international academic mobility program and is aimed at strengthening educational, research, and cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Malaysia.

The program includes lectures, practical sessions, academic discussions, and the exchange of experience with students and faculty members. Particular attention is given to architecture, the preservation of historical and cultural heritage, digital documentation, and the application of modern methods in architectural research.

One of the key activities of the visit is the joint fieldwork conducted by students and faculty members from both universities to study Kazakhstan’s architectural, historical, and cultural heritage. The international research team is carrying out field research in Zharkent, focusing on the Zharkent Mosque, a unique architectural monument.

The participants are studying the architectural and spatial characteristics of the site, its historical significance, and existing approaches to the preservation of cultural heritage.

Such initiatives contribute to the development of international cooperation in higher education and research. They promote academic mobility, enhance the quality of professional education, strengthen young researchers’ competencies, and help raise international awareness of Kazakhstan’s cultural and architectural heritage.
