IEC Researchers Become Winners of Grant Funding Competitions for 2026–2028

The International Educational Corporation (KazGASA) congratulates its researchers on their success in the grant funding competitions of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2026–2028.

The outstanding results achieved by the university’s researchers in the “Zhas Galym” competition and the Young Scientists Grant Funding Program (KMS) demonstrate the university’s strong scientific potential, high level of research expertise, and the relevance of its scientific activities.

Among the winners of the “Zhas Galym” competition are young researchers of IEC (KazGASA) whose projects address important challenges in construction, architecture, environmental sustainability, and sustainable development.

Aliya Zhilkibayeva received grant funding for the project “Digital Model of the Durability of Concrete with Industrial Waste and Silica Fume under Sulfate Attack Conditions Based on Experimental Data Processing in MATLAB.” The research is being carried out within the priority area “Ecology, Environment, and Rational Use of Natural Resources.” The project received funding of KZT 30 million.

Another winner is Sayat Niyetbay, whose project “Development and Experimental-Numerical Validation of a Geotechnical Seismic Isolation Technology for Buildings Using Rubber-Soil Mixtures” falls within the priority area “Energy, Advanced Materials, and Transport.” The project received funding of KZT 29.9 million.

Grant support was also awarded to Abdulkhalyk Nabiyev for the project “Digital Methods for Sustainable Modeling of Architectural and Morphological Urban Development Parameters to Optimize Urban Aeration: The Case of Almaty.” The project aims to improve approaches to creating a comfortable urban environment and is funded with KZT 29.9 million.

Among the winners of the Young Scientists Grant Funding Program (KMS) are researchers working on promising projects in digital technologies, materials science, and environmental monitoring.

Assel Altayeva received grant support for the project “Development of a Method for Creating a Digital Twin of an Ore Deposit Based on Satellite Monitoring and Geoinformation Technologies for Predicting Ground Surface Deformations.” The project is implemented within the priority area “Ecology, Environment, and Rational Use of Natural Resources” and received funding of KZT 90 million.

Another winner is Indira Tashmukhanbetova with the project “Development of Polymer-Modified Concrete Using Industrial Waste for Repairing Cracks in Transport and Civil Infrastructure.” The research focuses on the advancement of modern construction materials and technologies and received funding of KZT 89.7 million.

Success in these grant funding competitions is a recognition of the high professionalism, scientific competence, and research initiative of IEC’s (KazGASA) researchers. The implementation of these projects will contribute to the development of digital technologies, construction science, architecture, geotechnics, environmental monitoring, and sustainable natural resource management, while strengthening Kazakhstan’s scientific potential.

The International Educational Corporation sincerely congratulates its colleagues on this well-deserved achievement and wishes them successful project implementation, groundbreaking discoveries, international recognition, and continued success in their scientific endeavors.
