On September 4, 2026, the International Educational Corporation (KazGASA) welcomed a delegation from Konya Technical University (Konya, Türkiye). The delegation included Prof. Dr. Nurettin Çetinkaya, Vice Rector, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muharrem Hilmi Aksoy, International Relations Coordinator.

As part of the visit, a meeting was held with the leadership of IEC (KazGASA), during which the parties discussed prospects for developing inter-university cooperation in education and science, as well as further areas of cooperation between IEC (KazGASA) and Konya Technical University.

Following the meeting, IEC (KazGASA) and Konya Technical University signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The document was signed by Bakhtiyar Sabdenaliyev, Rector of IEC (KazGASA), and Prof. Dr. Nurettin Çetinkaya, Vice Rector of KTU.

The Memorandum provides for the development of cooperation in joint research activities, implementation of research projects, and academic mobility programmes. Within the framework of the agreement, the universities plan to expand opportunities for the exchange of knowledge and experience among faculty members, researchers and students, as well as to develop joint educational and research initiatives.

During the visit, representatives of Konya Technical University also familiarized themselves with the infrastructure and activities of IEC (KazGASA).

The signing of the Memorandum establishes a foundation for further development of academic and research ties between universities in Kazakhstan and Türkiye and for expanding international cooperation in higher education.
