Student Residence

1. Application Submission: 
   Each applicant must submit a request for a place in the student residence (DS) when applying to the university. The request must include all required documents, including a complete set of documents confirming the student's social status. 
2. Priority for Non-Local Students: 
   Accommodation is provided to non-local students who require housing. 
3. Review and Allocation Process: 
   After the announcement of the state grant recipients and enrollment in the university, a specially designated committee reviews all applications. The review process takes 14 working days from the date of the state grant announcement. 

The university operates an automated accommodation allocation system. Each applicant is registered in the university’s electronic database, indicating their need for housing and attaching the required supporting documents. Senior-year students submit their applications via the university's electronic portal. The system assigns points based on various criteria and automatically ranks applicants accordingly. 

Priority Categories for Student Accommodation Allocation 

In accordance with Order No. 219 of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dated December 30, 2022, and registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan on January 4, 2023, under No. 31540, the following categories of students are given priority for accommodation: 

1. Orphans and children deprived of parental care, as well as citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan from among the youth who have lost or been left without parental care before reaching adulthood, persons with disabilities of the first or second group, persons with childhood disabilities, and children with disabilities; 
2. Persons with third-degree disabilities; 
3. Individuals whose one or both parents have disabilities; 
4. Recipients of state social benefits due to the loss of a breadwinner; 
5. Recipients of state-targeted social assistance, as well as veterans and individuals equated to veterans of the Great Patriotic War in terms of benefits; 
6. Rural youth enrolled in educational programs aimed at the socio-economic development of rural areas; 
7. Kandas (ethnic Kazakhs returning to their historical homeland); 
8. Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who have completed the required term of military service, for the first year of study in state higher education institutions (HEIs) or HEIs where more than 50% of voting shares (equity participation) belong to the state, or HEIs with state educational grants; 
9. Students enrolled under the "Мәңгілік ел жастары – индустрияға!" ("Serpin – 2050") project. 
10. First-year students who hold the "Altyn Belgi" (Golden Badge) distinction, as well as those who possess a certificate as a winner or prize-winner of the Presidential, international, or national Olympiad and/or competition, and applicants who have graduated with honors from an educational institution, confirmed by an official certificate, diploma, or transcript. 
11. First-year students admitted to the university with high scores in the Unified National Testing (UNT), Comprehensive Testing (CT), or entrance exams conducted by the educational institution, either in subject-based exams or in test format. 

In cases where students have equal scores in the UNT, CT, or entrance exams, the financial situation of the student is taken into account in accordance with the Rules for the Formation, Allocation, and Accounting of Funds for Financial and Material Assistance to Students and Pupils of State Educational Institutions. 

These rules apply to students from families eligible for state-targeted social assistance, as well as those from families not receiving state-targeted social assistance but whose per capita income is below the subsistence minimum. Additionally, preference is given to orphans, children deprived of parental care living in families, children from families requiring urgent assistance due to emergencies, and other categories of students and pupils as defined by Government Resolution No. 64 of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dated January 25, 2008.    

1. Senior-year students who have demonstrated outstanding academic, scientific, and community engagement achievements.
2. Students from large families (families with four or more minor children living together).
3. International students are provided with dormitory accommodations in accordance with international and intergovernmental agreements.
4. Students participating in academic mobility programs may apply for accommodation through the International Office of IEC.
5. Other students as determined by the university's policies.

• 4 photos 3×4 cm

   

• 2 copies of ID card

   

• Fluorography scan copy

   

• Power of attorney or legal representative (for minors)

Eviction from the Student Dormitory is carried out in the following cases:  

• Expulsion from the university;  

• Violation of internal regulations;  

• Violation of academic regulations;  

• Academic failure;  

• Regular absences from the dormitory.

Eviction is executed based on the decision of the Expert Commission.  

For first-year students:

• Applications are submitted via the applicants’ platform from August 10–25

   

• Confirmation of accommodation will appear in the applicant platform’s personal account

   

• With the confirmation, students will receive their dormitory order

   

For senior students (2nd–5th year with social certificates):

• Applications are submitted via I-portal from August 10–25

   

• Confirmation of accommodation will appear in the I-portal personal account

   

• With the confirmation, students will receive their dormitory order

   

Move-in will start after August 25.
A separate schedule for each school will be announced after August 20.
