On September 28, 2026, a delegation from Tsinghua University Shenzhen International Graduate School (Tsinghua SIGS) arrived in Almaty to begin a joint academic programme with IEC.

On September 29, representatives of IEC and Tsinghua SIGS held an official meeting, followed by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.

The memorandum is aimed at strengthening academic ties between the two universities, promoting international knowledge exchange, and developing joint educational, research, and design initiatives.
