On September 10, 2025, the first meeting of the Council for Science and Technology, established under the Akimat of Almaty, was held under the chairmanship of Mayor Darkhan Satybaldy. The Council included Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of the International Educational Corporation (KazGASA), Zhangazy Nurzhanovich Moldamuratov.
During the meeting, the Mayor of Almaty emphasized the relevance of the tasks outlined by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence. In the near future, a dedicated ministry will be established in the country, while Almaty is already recognized as the leading IT hub of Kazakhstan: out of 254 innovative companies nationwide, 52 are located in the southern capital.
The Council aims to systematically develop these areas and implement innovative solutions to ensure the city’s sustainable growth.
We are confident that Zhangazy Nurzhanovich Moldamuratov’s participation in the Council will make a significant contribution to advancing key initiatives and implementing proposals aimed at addressing important challenges facing Almaty.
