On March 17, 2026, the International Educational Corporation (KazGASA) hosted the student festival “Comics-Con 2026,” bringing together enthusiasts of pop culture, graphic design, and visual arts. The event served as a platform for students to showcase their creative potential, exchange ideas, and foster a vibrant creative environment within the university.
One of the key highlights of the festival was the cosplay competition, which featured 23 students. Participants presented characters from comics, films, TV series, and video games. The winners were announced as follows:
- 1st place – Kamila Nurzhanova, School of Design (100,000 KZT)
- 2nd place – Kristina Pirogova, KazGASA College (70,000 KZT)
- 3rd place – Altynai Bekbolsyn, Dina Boztayeva, Akbota Isa, School of Architecture (50,000 KZT)
A special nomination was also established by the partner company Unilife. The winner, Nariman Kenzhebek, received a cash prize of 30,000 KZT.
As part of the festival, a creative fair was held where students showcased illustrations, comics, and other creative projects. Participants had the opportunity not only to present their works but also to sell them and engage directly with festival guests.
A special highlight of the event was the presentation of a comic dedicated to KazGASA, created by students of the Comics IEC organization. The project made a significant contribution to the development of student creativity and received positive feedback from the audience.
Partner companies, including Unilife, Yandex, and Umay, took part in organizing and supporting the festival. They provided refreshments and themed products for guests, as well as contributed to the prize fund. Winners of the competition were awarded cash prizes, medals, diplomas, and gifts from Yandex Alice.
The “Comics-Con 2026” festival became a vibrant event in student life and demonstrated a high level of student engagement in creative, project-based, and cultural activities.
