International Program for Young Scientists (TYSP) – 2026

Research in China for PhD candidates and young researchers
Initiated by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China
Talented Young Scientist Program (TYSP) is an international program for outstanding young scientists from countries participating in the “Belt and Road” initiative, including Kazakhstan.
The program offers an opportunity to conduct scientific research in leading universities, research institutes, and companies in China for a period of 3, 6, or 12 months.

Who Can Apply
The program is open to:
PhD candidates
Young scientists
Researchers from Kazakhstan
Age limit: up to 45 years
Education: PhD degree or at least 5 years of research experience

Key Requirements
Citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
Full-time participation in China for the entire duration of the program;
Proficiency in English or Chinese;
A recommendation letter from an authorized body
(Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan / Ministry of Foreign Affairs / Embassy).

Funding
20,000 CNY per month (before tax)
to cover accommodation, insurance, transportation, and living expenses;
Up to 240,000 CNY for 12 months;
The Chinese side provides a workplace.
