From December 15 to 22, 2025, an international boxing tournament dedicated to the memory of Honored Coach of the Kazakh SSR, G. Zharylgapov, was held in the city of Karaganda.

The competition was attended by Abilkaiyr Umit Bakhytzhankyzy, a first-year student of the School of Architecture at the International Educational Corporation (KazGASA). As a result of the tournament, Umit secured an honorable third place, demonstrating a high level of preparation, determination, and strong athletic character.
