IEC (KazGASA) Welcomed the Charterhouse UK Delegation

On November 21, 2025, KazGASA hosted a visit from Alex Peterken, Head of Charterhouse UK, and Karen Davies, Director of International Education. The visit took place as part of the preparations for launching a new flagship educational project in Almaty – Charterhouse Almaty School.

The guests from the United Kingdom were introduced in detail to KazGASA’s laboratories, classrooms, and infrastructure. During the visit, the delegation held a working meeting with Aigazy Kussainov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the International Educational Corporation. The meeting focused on prospects for further cooperation, joint educational initiatives, and projects aimed at improving the quality of education and integrating international standards into the academic process.

It is worth noting that the visit coincided with the Gala Event held the day before, dedicated to the opening of Charterhouse Almaty School, where the key concepts of the British educational model – which will form the foundation of the new project – were presented. Alex Peterken also took the opportunity to personally explore the academy, which is part of the International Educational Corporation.

The opening of Charterhouse Almaty is scheduled for September 2026. In its first year, the school will offer education from pre-school to Grade 10, with senior grades opening in 2027. By 2028, Charterhouse Almaty will operate as a full-cycle school.

The curriculum will be based on the British academic standards of Charterhouse, while also incorporating compulsory subjects that reflect Kazakhstani identity: Kazakh language, Kazakh literature, and the history of Kazakhstan. Charterhouse Almaty combines high international educational standards with a deep respect for national culture and values.
