Advisor

Who is an Advisor?

Advisor is a faculty mentor who supports and guides a student throughout the entire period of study.
An advisor helps students design their individual educational path, supports them in adapting to the university environment, and contributes to the development of academic, professional, and personal competencies.

Your advisor is your assistant

Advisors work in the following areas:
• conducting individual consultations (at least once per semester);
• organizing group meetings and educational events;
• maintaining an advisor’s journal and a student database;
• supporting student involvement in research and community activities;
• preventing academic failure;
• organizing events on academic integrity;
• preparing reports for the dean’s office.

  • Dean’s offices and vice-deans for student affairs — coordination and support of advisors;
    Registrar’s Office — academic guidance and consulting;
    Department of Social Development (DSD) — assistance in resolving students’ social and living issues and organizing their participation in various activities.

Each advisor submits an annual report on their work.
Effectiveness is evaluated based on:
• students’ academic performance;
• their level of engagement and discipline;
• quality of documentation and feedback from students.

The results of this analysis are used to improve the mentoring system and enhance the educational environment.

If you want to find out who your advisor is, please contact your faculty dean’s office or use the «My Advisor» service in your student account.

Academic Writing Support

The Academic Advising Service provides methodological and consultative assistance to students in the field of academic writing. The purpose of this support is to help students develop skills in scholarly expression, critical analysis, and evidence-based written communication in accordance with international academic standards.

Advisors assist students in:
  • defining and refining research topics, formulating objectives and tasks;
  • structuring texts, developing logical arguments, and substantiating conclusions;
  • selecting and properly citing academic sources while ensuring academic integrity;
  • improving the language, style, and clarity of academic writing;
  • preparing various types of academic work — from essays and reports to course papers and final theses.

Academic advisors do not complete assignments for students but guide them through the process of independent work, fostering academic autonomy, research culture, and analytical thinking
