On February 18, 2026, a workshop titled “Development of Dual Degree Programs” was held at the International Education Corporation (KazGASA) with the support of the British Council. The event was aimed at enhancing international cooperation and improving the mechanisms for implementing joint educational programs.
During the meeting, key issues related to the design of dual degree programs within the framework of the credit-based education system were discussed, including the alignment of curricula with international partners, compliance with national and international regulatory requirements, and organizational and academic challenges arising during the launch and implementation of such programs.
The workshop was attended by academic program coordinators, heads of structural units, deans of schools, and their deputies. Participants discussed practical aspects of preparing and implementing dual degree programs, and exchanged experience and proposals for further development of international academic initiatives.
The invited speaker was Yerzhan Mukashev, a graduate of KazGASA, Dean of the KBTU Business School, and Associate Professor. In his presentation titled “Credit Technologies and Their Role in International Academic Partnerships,” he shared practical experience in implementing joint programs and emphasized the importance of flexible curricula and a systematic approach to building partnerships with foreign universities.
